Confused about the thankful bit? Well let me explain then. I’ve been dreading just this thing for quite some time now – ever since the boys moved into that room just behind where you see the massive trunk. Every time it would storm I would check the weather or go grab them and put them in my bed anticipating that that very tree would find its way into thier room.
Well it seems I was partially right, BUT THANKFULLY, the tree did not fall into thier room. In fact it did not fall into any room at all! It looks like it has gravely injured some grass (poor new grass) and caused some annoying damage to the roof, trim, siding, chimney, and possibly the new driveway but overall nothing super scary. Five to ten feet to the right and a few hours later and the story would be very different.
