I am fairly certain that this monument needs no introduction.
Happy to report that it much improved, and therefore far more impressive, than my last visit 26 years ago.
Also, my mom was right, it was cold. We came early (6:30am) and the boys were underdressed for the 55 degree weather which resulted in some serious whining until the sun started to warm things up a bit.
