We had a Saturday filled with firsts…
Aaric climbed to the top of stone mountain on his own!! Seriously awesome. Kieran on the other hand did not – he did walk intermittently but otherwise demanded to be carried (but refused the sling). Good times for mommy and her back… Oh well, maybe next time…
The top was especially fun for both – puddles galore. Robb and I tried to stop them from running through every EVERY one fearing their little feet would freeze but finally gave up… Nothing a nice day and a barefooted ride down the mountain couldn’t fix.
In other firsts news… Kieran had his first haircut. He did not like it one bit. Aaric refused to go first and show baby bro the ropes because he was “too busy watching Toy Story” on the screens in front of the chairs. Kier sat in my lap holding onto his green lollipop for dear life and cried through the whole thing. He’d calm down every now and again but ramp right back up when he found hair on his lollipop – I’m not sure why we thought giving him one in the middle of a haircut was a good idea… Anyway, he looks adorable with his new do (which admittedly is not that much different).
