We decided to take advantage of Robb’s trip and subsequent layover in Colorado Springs to enjoy a mini-vacation. Aaric enjoyed his last monthiversary on the top of Pike’s Peak – a little sad for us but we are guessing that Aaric is probably happy that he will no longer have to tolerate his parents crazy displays on a monthly basis. Guess we’ll just have to be extra annoying the one chance we have each year going forward.Also, one important note if you are headed up Pike’s Peak in the near future… TAKE SOME FOOD ! It takes forever to get to the top and once there (and hungry) you have about 7 options with regards to food – all of which are little better than festival fare… fried donut – check, mac n cheese – check, potato chips – check, salad – that’ll be a 4 hour hike or 1 hour drive down the mountain…
